BBBS “Let’s Talk- Healthy Habits”

Big Brothers Big Sisters invites high school-aged Littles to join us for the 2nd part of our 2-part health education series with guest speaker Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan NJ. Both sessions will be held at the Plainfield Public Library, 800 Park Ave, Plainfield, NJ. Parents/Guardians and Bigs are welcome to attend with their child/Little.

Wednesday, 11/8, 6-7 p.m.  – Topic: Healthy Relationships and Consent

Wednesday, 11/15, 6-7 p.m.  – Topic: Internet Literacy/ Safety

• Develop healthy friendship/relationship skills.
• Develop positive attitudes, values and self-esteem.
• Gain knowledge and understanding about puberty and the physical, social, and emotional changes that will take place.
• Address concerns and correct misunderstanding that youth may have gained from the media and peers.
• Know where and how to seek help.
